We Have OTs!!

Starting August 31 until the end of November, Our House will have two
OT interns, one from 11-2 and another follows from 2-5. Every Tuesday
at 11, we will have a seated aerobics/movement activity for those with
limited gross motor movement until around 12. The remainder of the day
will have the OTs working and assisting as needed and leading group
activities. This is a wonderful resource and we are grateful to CFCC
and Tiffany Devlin for providing us with these students.

Finished Ramp!

Thanks to the good folks from Triangle Community Church for building our ramp!! Under the leadership of Mike Craig, the youth group from TCC completed the ramp in four days and is now in use. Please feel free to contact TCC at tcc.org to thanks these wonderful people, the youth and the parents for allowing them to travel to Wilmington and build our ramp. Thanks again!

A Permanent Ramp!!

Thanks to the Wilmington Baptist Association, Joey Hardy, Walter Hisle and the good folks from the Triangle Community Church outside of Raleigh, we are fortunate to have a permanent ramp being built as I type this. This should be completed by Friday. For those who are not ambulatory, we are sorry to advise that we have stopped using the temporary ramp until the permanent ramp is completed. We look forward to have everyone attend Our House next Monday the 26th! Have a great day-SM.

At Carolina Beach State Park, the Cape Fear Audubon Society is having an event meeting at the visitors center at 8 and goes on until 11. Bird and nature lovers enjoy!!

Every first and third Wednesdays of the month, the Disability Resource Center holds Community Companions for individuals 18-40, contact Gloria Garton at 815-6618. Also, for the art lovers Bill and Mitchell have their art session from 3:30 to 5! Have a great day!
